Properties of Copper Alloy Castings

Posted By wearresistant William     July 12, 2019

Body

Copper alloy is an alloy composed of pure copper as matrix and one or more other elements. According to the material forming method, it can be divided into cast copper alloy and deformed copper alloy.

Copper alloy castings cannot be deformed by forging, extrusion, deep drawing and drawing. Cast copper alloy and deformed copper alloy can be subdivided into pure copper, brass, bronze and cupronickel for casting. Most cast copper alloy cannot be pressure processed, such as casting beryllium bronze and casting tin bronze. This kind of alloy has extremely poor plasticity and cannot be pressure processed.

Casting beryllium bronze is mainly used as explosion-proof tools, moulds, structural parts of submarine cable repeaters, welding electrodes, etc. Casting tin bronze, casting aluminum bronze, casting brass is mainly used for bearing shells, shaft sleeves, bushings, bearings, gears, pipe fittings, etc. Cast copper alloy is widely used in arts and crafts. Ancient bronze ware is a typical example.

Copper alloy castings produced by Shenyang Gongda are usually used for wear-resistant parts such as general bearing shells, bushings, gears and corrosion-resistant parts such as valves.
