cheap madden 22 coins hours. It will feature players from the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams disputing the chance of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. If you're anything like me, you've been counting down the seconds leading into the Super Bowl ever since Championship Sunday. I'll even admit to having have watched a flag football competition -- otherwise known as"the" Pro Bowl -- just to satisfy my football cravings.
If you're unable to sit through the game we have an alternative for you fine folks that'll hopefully keep you entertained -- this CBS Sports simulation of Super Bowl LVI!
We sparked up Madden NFL 22, set up the Super Bowl matchup, and watched to check out how the game would play out. If you're a fervent fan of the Rams then you'll be happy with what unfolded. If you're rooting for the Bengals be aware that it's a video game that did happen to accurately predict the Buccaneers win last year.
The Rams won the second Super Bowl title in franchise history and first since the return to Los Angeles in rather dominating fashion, taking down the Bengals 38-20. It also does not do justice to the first half-shellacking L.A. handed down en-route to the trophy.
After a quiet matches to start the game by both teams, Rams were able to score in a pretty controversial way. In a third-and-12 scenario from the Cincinnati 34-yard line Matthew Stafford uncorked a deep ball to Van Jefferson on the left side of the end zone. Originally, the officials ruled that he was out of the line of play, but a challenge made by Sean McVay led to a reversal and the Rams going up, 7-0. In all transparency the ball was clearly not in play. Jefferson could have been in out of bounds, but virtual officials ruled otherwise on reviewing the situation (Maybe video games have become more real! ).
The Bengals responded to the touchdown drive from the Rams by scoring their own. Joe Burrow completed a pass to Tee Higgins to tie the game at seven, but L.A. quickly matched that score by driving through the field and Odell Beckham Jr. scoring a seven-yard touchdown passing to make it 14-7.
It was at this point in the game that the Bengals started to get left by the wind.
The Cincinnati offense entered the field following that Beckham touchdown and ended up in a third-and-9 situation from their 24-yard line. After moving to his right side, Burrow was sacked at by Leonard Floyd and the football fell loose. Aaron Donald scooped it up and was able to rush through for the touchdown to give the Rams ahead 21-7. In the second quarter the running back Cam Akers would cap off another touchdown drive with L.A. that would extend their lead by three scores.
The Bengals did show some courage in the first quarter, even during the scoring spree of the Rams. They were able to locate the end zone with just 50 seconds remaining before halftime to cut the gap to 14 points after Burrow crossed the ball with Tyler Boyd.
In the same vein as the Chiefs forcing overtime against Buffalo in the final 13 seconds in the regulation phase and the final divisional match the Rams were in danger of taking a similar blow. In the initial play following the Bengals score with 46 seconds on the clock, Stafford completed a 73-yard touchdown to Jefferson to offer L.A. what proved to be an insurmountable advantage.
In the second half, the Rams milked the clock with the game of the ground, while the Bengals offense was sluggish and finally settled for uncertain field goal attempts. This finally led us to an eventual score of 38-20 to the advantage from Los Angeles, who become the second team in Super Bowl history to win the game in their stadium of choice.
Aaron Donald was named Super Bowl MVP following his impressive performance. The star defensive player finished having 13 tackles in all (four tackles for loss) and recovered a fumble to score a touchdown.
Much like wire-to-wire it was a dominant game for the Rams that would be a dream for them to emulate in the actual game. Of course, it's easier said than done as the Bengals are likely to feature their star receiver, Ja'Marr , Chase to a greater extent than their video-game counterparts because he did not record his initial catch until midway through the third
