The Linksys RE6400 can be used to locate the extended network. Place it where the Wi-Fi signal is weakest, approximately halfway between your gateway and the problem area. Place it in a location where the signal will not be interrupted by walls or other electronic devices. To ensure a stable power supply, connect the Linksys RE6400 to an outlet near the router. After this, place yourself in front of a computer, laptop, or other web browser-equipped device. Launch the Linksys login & setup portal, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Linksys RE6400 setup.
