A vinyl record is a flat slice made of polyvinyl chloride( PVC) that stores audio information in grooves engraved on its face. Introduced in the late 19th century, vinyl records came the primary medium for music distribution in themid-20th century, lasting until the rise of digital formats in the late 20th century. Vinyl records are played on a turntable, where a stylus follows the grooves, converting the physical movements into sound swells. They come in colorful sizes, with the most common being 12 elevation in periphery for LPs( Long Play) and 7 elevation for mates. Vinyl records are appreciated by audiophiles for their warm sound quality and tactile experience.
