Aperçu

  • Gold has become much more important in Diablo 4 Items. Unlike in Diablo 3, where it was nearly useless, gold is now a limited and valuable resource. You’ll need it for upgrading gear, crafting, and rerolling stats—so it’s crucial to know the best ways to earn it.

After thorough testing, here’s a breakdown of how much gold you can expect to earn from different activities in Diablo 4. All the numbers were collected on World Tier 4 and mostly done solo.

Uber Bosses – The Best Gold Per Hour

Uber bosses are the top gold earners. Belial gives the highest return at about 141 million gold per hour. Other bosses like Urivar, Zir, and Varshan are also great, giving between 100 to 114 million per hour. On the lower end, Grigoire and Beast in the Ice bring in around 74 million per hour.

Some bosses like Duriel, Andariel, and The Harbinger are not worth farming. They require complex summoning rituals and only offer about 55 million per hour, which is low compared to others.

Infernal Horde – Fast and Rewarding

The Infernal Horde is another great option, especially when you complete more waves. Full Ether runs give these gold rewards:

    10 waves = about 125 million/hour
    8 waves = about 126 million/hour
    6 waves = about 120 million/hour

Even if you don’t go for the full Ether gold chest, you still get gear or Obducite, which has its own value. These runs are usually faster solo but can be done in groups too.

Nightmare Dungeons – Regular vs Boosted

Regular Nightmare Dungeons (using blue sigils) give around 16 to 21 million gold per hour, depending on how you run them.

Boosted Nightmare Dungeons (using escalation sigils) are much better. In one test session, they provided up to 168 million gold per hour, though another session gave only 45 million. The results vary depending on the modifiers and layout of each dungeon.

Kurast Undercity – Simple and Steady

Kurast Undercity takes about 3 minutes per run and gives 450,000 gold per run, or about 12 million per hour. It’s not the most rewarding, but it’s easy and consistent.

Helltide and Events – Extra Rewards

Helltide events, even when fully cleared, only gave around 18 million gold per hour. Legion events give about 1 million gold every 15 minutes. These are okay for bonus gold but not good for focused farming.

    Whispers and Chests

Whispers Tree chests give solid gold: around 4 million for normal and 5.5 million for legendary chests.

Season chests gave an average of 3.9 million gold each, based on 20 chests.

These are passive ways to make gold while doing seasonal or quest-related content.

World Bosses – Not Worth It Right Now

World bosses appear to have been nerfed or bugged. They drop very little gold, even the chest you get afterward. For now, skip them if you're looking to farm gold efficiently.

    Final Summary

If your goal is to farm gold efficiently in Diablo IV gold for sale, here are your best options:

    Belial – 141 million/hour
    Infernal Horde (8 or 10 waves) – 125–126 million/hour
    Urivar, Zir, Varshan – 96–114 million/hour
Boosted Nightmare Dungeons – Up to 100 million/hour
Grigoire, Beast in the Ice – 74 million/hour
Regular Nightmare Dungeons, Helltide, Kurast – 12–21 million/hour
Duriel, Andariel, Harbinger – Not worth it

World Bosses – Avoid for now

Remember, this testing was done with a midgame build focused on smooth solo play. If you're not trying to push the hardest content, these methods still work well.

More testing is coming soon, including Obducite farming and deeper looks into the new Nightmare Dungeons. Until then, happy farming—and don’t forget to open every Strongroom chest you find!
