    TERMINOLOGY FOR CNC ROUTER
To get you started, we've compiled a list of routing jargon terms and their respective definitions, which you can find listed in the following section.
    - Chipload: The physical size of the pieces or chips of material that are cut away by the bit.
    - Feed Rates: The speed with which a machine can move laterally through the material being cut.
A measure of the speed at which the machine's spindle rotates.
The number of cutting edges on a routing bit is referred to as the flute count.
In order to cut, a machine follows a coded route brass cnc machining has been programmed into it.

    THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF CUTS
As a general rule of thumb, specific bits are intended to work best with specific materials.

    - Up cut: This is the most frequently used type of cut.
Useful for specific applications such as laminated or thin materials.
Up and Down cuts are combined in the Compression cut.
A single flute pattern is preferred for the majority of plastic and aluminum applications, while a double flute pattern is preferred for the majority of wood applications.
