The working principle of the natural gas pressure regulating station is to preheat the high-pressure natural gas in the skid car tank, step down the pressure, and carry out safety control, metering, and odorizing processes so that the gas pressure reaches the pressure that meets the requirements of the specification and is transported to the pipeline. According to the voltage regulation mechanism, it can be divided into two-stage and three-stage.

Compressed natural gas decompression station is divided into unloading system, pressure regulating and heat exchange system, flow metering system control system, the heating system according to the equipment and station layout and equipment functions.

First, the high-pressure natural gas in the skidding truck enters the pressure regulating heat exchange system through the unloading system and passes through two heat exchanges in the pressure regulating heat exchange system, and the pressure is adjusted twice or three times into the flow metering and odorizing system, and then enters the pipe network. The heating system provides the heat required in the process of gas decompression, and the control system monitors the entire system.

Compressed natural gas pressure reaching 22MPa belongs to ultra-high pressure gas, which requires higher equipment safety performance than pipeline pressure regulation.

The pressure reduction process of compressed natural gas will cause the temperature of the gas to drop rapidly because of the large reduction. Therefore, the pressure adjustment process of the compressed natural gas needs to supplement heat for the gas.

The decompression process of compressed natural gas is a process of gradual pressure reduction. The inlet pressure will be reduced with the gas in the skid car, and the pressure will be gradually reduced from 22MPa to 0.5-1.0MPa, so the application range of equipment pressure is more demanding.

The pressure of compressed natural gas is higher than that of pipeline natural gas. Generally, two-stage or three-stage pressure adjustment is required to make the final pressure reach medium pressure and enter the pipeline network.
