正畸治療為什麼要制取石膏模型？

　　 正畸治療為什麼要制取石膏模型？石膏牙模型是患者牙的克隆，反映患者牙的全部特徵，它有以下幾方面的用途。
（1）記存模型：矯治前為原始記存，矯治後為完成記存。
（2）研究模型：石膏牙模為離體的牙記錄，可在其上進行具體測量、排牙試驗及模型外科切割，也方便醫生之間的討論和交流，對診斷和矯治計畫的制訂很有幫助。
（3）工作模型：一般可摘矯治器及功能性矯治器都必須由正畸技師在患者的牙模型上製作完成。
