Place a suitable flat area on the elastic piece as a counterweight frame. Then, the strain gauge is attached to the elastic member.
Construction of weighing transducer
When a load is applied, the elastic member will deform or deflect.
Since the strain gauge is attached to the elastic member, the strain gauge may be stretched or compressed due to tension. This changed its length, which in turn changed its resistance.
By measuring the change in the resistance of the strain gauge, the applied load can be calculated.
When a load is applied, due to tension, two strain gauges are subject to elongation or tensile stress, while the other two are subject to compression.
Load cell bridge circuit
Since the weighing transducer is a cylinder, the axial compressive load will cause the negative strain in the vertical strain gauge and the positive strain in the circumferential strain gauge.
The two strains are not equal. By using a bridge circuit, the resistance of the strain gauge can be measured, thereby measuring the unknown applied load.
a column load cell is also our product, welcome to consult and purchase.
