Do we have to worry about Big Ben and the Steelers? We were all spoilt by Tom Brady's fall. However, for
Mut 22 coinsthe vast majority of quarterbacks, it's but a sudden and steep. In the case of Ben Roethlisberger it looks like the quarterback went full Thelma and Louise on an unfathomable cliff. The Ringer's Steven Ruiz cut up a collection of throws by Ben from Sunday against the Bengals and then put them into grainy, wild west style video footage that has saloon music in the background. This was probably the most fun thing I've seen since Monday, however it's also the most sad since Ben looks completely washed.
The Steelers have decided not to invest in the offensive line this offseason. This has led to the run game being mediocre despite Najee Harris being drafted in the first round. Harris did get 19 (!) targets during the pass game on Sunday, catching 14 passes. Lindsay Rhodes had me on her podcast on Monday and shared this information: Harris had 109 yards after the catch that resulted in 102 receiving yards. Think about that!
This is evident from Ben's Next Gen Stats passing charts. This has effectively made this offensive horizontal. There is no protection and he does not have the arm strength to push the ball downfield quickly.
The Steelers were going to hang their hats on defense, but the secondary was not great when they first got there and the defensive line, the strength of this team, is now a mess as several players are missing. T.J. Watt was the most well-known player who was excluded from Sunday's game because of a groin problem. A couple of weeks ago there was a time when the Steelers defense collapsed and that was also a problem against Joe Burrow Sunday. It's extremely difficult to discern any way to ensure that these issues are magically fixed.
This is not a concern with Carson Wentz's playing on the field. However, Carson Wentz's actions in the field is worrying. The main concern I have for Indianapolis is playing Wentz too often during the 2021 season , and having to
buy Madden 22 coins give up an option in the top 10 due to the team's performance not being great.
