I love WoW, largely, and continue to play 15 years to

But all its conveniences -- and there are many, including easily soloable quest goals, instantaneous looking-for-group parties for dungeons and quests, flying mounts which take you over rough enemies, and more straightforward looting of everything dead around you -- add up to more self-reliance for the individual participant, which lowers the need to interact.
I don't group for quests in WoW since I don't have to. When I do, I combine a party using LFG, do whatever is required by the pursuit, and depart with a quick"thanks," which is probably the only dialogue my team sees. But the experience can be a solitary person, and the game works just fine for gamers.
However, Classic is a game that relies on social relations, and all but compels you to find and cultivate them. That's a rare thing in online games nowadays, but it is a style philosophy at a time when many other entertainment concentrates on ease of use and permits for isolation. Bringing people together is a goal in 2019, along with the classic design of MMOs is a powerful way to achieve that. However, is this what players want?
The question which will determine WoW Classic's longevity of
