A months ago Blizzard said that users will soon be able to pay to upgrade the level of your World of Warcraft character to the level of 90, but they didn't mention how much it will cost. Prior to this, the bonus wasn't removed until the expansion actually launched. Pre-sales will begin sometime "soon."

If the past is used as an example, WoW WOTLK classic should be priced about $40, which means that buying this expansion is the most affordable method of gaining an X90 level character the most quickly (unless there's already one already). However, if you are playing several characters the one-time cost of $60 may be a good option, especially in the absence of a lot of spare time for playing and leveling.

The auto-leveling option of $60 is the newest microtransaction offering Blizzard is offering to play World of Warcraft. There is also the option to pay $30 to change your faction and $25 for a race change and $10 for the name change, in addition to other options. Additionally, a variety of game-specific pets and mounts are available for purchase in addition to the current $15/month subscription.
