Mushrooms are part of the ancestry of Indian sub-continent, and so it is associated with India. Today, we are going to discuss some important facts about Mushroom cultivation in India. Mushrooms can be grown in different types of substrates like sawdust, rice husks, coffee grounds or coco coir among others which all require a different type of mushroom fruiting bodies. The type of substrate determines the kind and quantity of mushrooms that can grow on it. This is a good thing because this is what makes mushrooms an extremely versatile product for farmers who often have more than one choice to choose from when planting their crops.
