An instrument used to record various electrical and process signals is a chart recorder pens. The oldest chart recorders keep track of information on paper. A pen is used to write on paper, and it deflects in proportion to the signal. The outcome is a data graph or chart. Typically used when changing pens or needing a different colour with mechanical chart recorders that use rolls of paper. You can measure multiple things at once by using different colours, and the findings are simple to understand.
