Dos And Don’ts Of Pairing Colorful Scrub Tops

Body

As we know many medical institutions have now opted to color code their staff according to departments and job designations. But wearing the same colors might get tiresome and boring. This is why we have compiled the dos and don’ts of pairing colorful scrub tops.

Professional Black

When we talk about the color associated with professionalism, it has to be the color black. In a medical institution black medical scrub tops denote professionalism with style.

Being the basic color that black is, it is no surprise that black is a color that can be paired with any color you like. So go ahead, do pair your black scrub tops with your purple, blue and maroon scrub bottoms. However, you must remember to not overdo with the black scrub top. Though all black medical scrubs look good and pairing black women’s scrub tops with different sub bottoms can give you a wider range in your uniform options, however, it is important to not to go overboard with it. Do not wear too much black as it can make you look depressing.

Fresh Yellow

Yellow is the color of sunshine and brightness. Both of those are needed to make us feel fresh and healthy. In a healthcare institution however, pairing yellow women’s scrub tops can be tricky business.

If you do decide on wearing yellow scrub tops then do pair them with white scrub pants. You can also pair bright yellow scrub pants with a jacket of the same tint. However, it is important to keep in mind that though yellow is a very energizing color, it also should be worn with colors that are more muted. Do not wear bright yellow women’s scrub tops with bright pants unless you want to look like a walking neon sign during your shift.

Regenerative Green

The healthcare industry is all about making sick people healthy and what other color signifies growth and regeneration better than green. If you want to pair bright green women’s scrub tops then do pair them with dark blue, brown or muted shades of red to give an image of vitality and openness.

While it is easy to pair green with browns and reds, do not pair green with too many earthy tones. As doing so would get you associated with melancholy and a general feeling of joylessness.

Calm Blue

Blue is a color associated with calmness. Along with being a cool color, blue can also be paired with so many other fun colors. You can pair blue scrub tops with black scrub pants for a classic touch. But, do also try lighter shades of violet, green and orange with blue scrub pants for a fantastic and stylish look.

Even though blue is a very complimenting color on the palate, just make sure to wear shades that match instead of clash with your shade of blue. Do not, for example pair bright blue scrub tops with bright orange scrub pants, as orange can be quite an over powering color.

Neutral White

Choosing to wear white medical uniforms is a classic choice that makes you look clean, orderly and sophisticated. This is why we do recommend wearing white medical scrubs at work. You can also pair white women’s scrub tops with colored scrub pants or style colored scrub tops with white pants and enjoy a wide range of professional wardrobe choices. However, it is crucial to understand the shades of white that you can buy in order to look good.

While bright white looks clean and inviting, do not buy medical scrubs in blue-white shade. Not only can that hue of blue be unflattering, but blue-white scrubs can also look cold and sterile.

Trickster Red

Certain colors in medical scrubs can be quite tricky to pair. It’s not that those colors are bad, but the problem rather lies in the psychological effect those colors can induce in the people around them. One such color is red.

Because red is the color of passion as well as rage, we do recommend pairing strong red women scrub tops with lighter colored scrub pants such as, light yellow, light green and light blue. Wearing light shades of red like violet, rosy red and soft pink are also colors that we do recommend for their calming effect, as well as, their ability to pair with ease. We however, don’t recommend wearing highly saturated shades of red as they can be quite distracting and can psychologically induce anger in staff and patients that are already scared or stressed out. The saturated shade of red can also turn blood stains invisible on medical scrubs causing risk of cross-contamination and spreading germs.

Conclusion

Working in the healthcare industry is difficult enough without worrying about your fashion choices. This is why this list makes for a great guide to help you in styling your women’s scrub tops with ease so all you need to do is focus on work and saving lives.
