Women are constantly fighting through an uphill battle to gain respect and equality. While modern feminist movements have made great strides for women, there's still a long way to go. Visit this website if you need help with womens issues.

The patriarchy has always been a woman's biggest enemy. You can get help with womens issues to learn how to cope, but the patriarchy will always work against you. Here's why.

Domination and a Lack of Dignity

Even today, the patriarchy continues to demean the contributions of women in the presence of men. Women have done a lot to push society forward. From helping land humans on the moon to discovering the cure for diseases, women are there paving the way.

Yet, men are the ones who get credit. Many female innovators and leaders are lost to the sands of time. Why is that?

Ultimately, the patriarchy is about domination. They dominate women through a lack of rights, violence, and overall erasure of their accomplishments. By demeaning women's work by reinforcing the gender pay gap, the patriarchy continues to have a chokehold on women everywhere.

Capitalism and the Patriarchy

Capitalism is another form of oppression that many people have to deal with daily. While it's typically viewed as a separate entity from the patriarchy, they are but one and the same. Capitalism can't exist without the patriarchy and vice versa. They're not independent because capitalism perpetuates gender oppression.

As a whole, capitalism is a complex social order based entirely on exploitation and domination. Many argue that capitalism formalized the new representation of the "perfect housewife." It created contempt for the working woman, and the notion of being a housewife slowly became the "natural" order.

It was another way for the patriarchy to dominate women. The patriarchy imposed unhealthy gender norms. Meanwhile, capitalism is what sold those norms to the masses, making them widespread issues women are still battling.

Fighting the Patriarchy

Women continue to battle the patriarchy with every step they take outside the gender constructs. But that fight can take its toll. If you're struggling to deal with the constant push against the patriarchy, don't hesitate to reach out and get help with womens issues.
